Set pause point in middle of clip

Hello, is it possible in Resolume Avenue 7.9 to set a pause point in the middle of a clip, such that you can start the clip, let it play for a bit and then have it pause at a specific cue point to show a still from the video, then when you want you can manually unpause and let the rest of the clip play out?
The use case for this is basically so I can play a short intro video into a still image from the video, and then unpause and play an outro video after that still. I know I could break up the video into a separate intro, still image, and outro clip, but I'd like to keep all 3 parts as one clip so that I can have Autopilot randomly select from other videos on the same layer that all have the same 3 part structure. If I have the clips broken up on the layer then it might randomly select 2 intro videos in a row, etc.
