Get your taste buds going with this little
Resolume 2.4 preview!
We are working on integrating the DMX protocol in Resolume so you can control Resolume with a DMX light table and send DMX signals to any DMX device from flash movies playing in Resolume. This way you can do integrated light and video shows!
Thanx to the pioneering work by VJ team Eyesupply on integrating Ableton Live and Resolume we are now working on implementing a BPM clock in Resolume. This clock enables you to beat match your clips and effect parameters to the BPM (beats per minute: speed) of the music!
UPDATE:
We do not have an exact time schedule for this release but it will take AT LEAST a month from now.

does this mean the sometimes not consistent frame rate of video playback has been resolved in the process?

ok, been looking at the screenshot a bit... few more questions
for DMX output, how many universes are able to be used at the same time? it looks like only 1 from the screenshot.
and as far as controling lights, say you want to set the gobo of say 4 lights at the same time, would you do that via flash, or can you set it with a midi controller, or by the resolume interface?
is there anyway of sequenceing the DMX lights? or would you still need a midi sequencer for that?
youve been using lan box so far right? is there a list of other supported DMX controllers?
is it easy to pimprovise with lighting as it is with video?
heh, plenty of more questions to come later.

what hardware and license do we need ?

yes seperate license will be required for the DMX functionality. we have not yet decided how much it is going to be but as with everything here it will not break the bank.
It wil be possibel to send and recieve DMX over a cheap usb lanbox and via ethernet through the Artnet drivers.
DMX signals are send from action script in a flash movie. This is perfect for synchonising DMX signals with your flash movies. If DMX is used by a lot of people we will expand the DMX functionality in Resolume.

Hi All,
Bart means not the Lanbox (because they are not cheep at all) but the Enttec Usb device.
Enttec.com
We hope we can support a bigger variety of devices in the future.
Cheers
Edwin
