MacBook Pro/Intel chips

Post by Anonymous »

With the new MacBook Pro's containing the new Intel chips being anounced the other day. I was wondering if this would maybe lead to a version of Resolume being released that would run on one of these machines?

i dont think it has muhc of an effect on software portability, some of the windows libiaries are what is stopping programs from being easily ported. linux has run on x86 hardware for ages, and it doesnt make it easier to port.

Hi,
Levon is right, but it will probably be possible to install Windows on those machines next to OS X. So you have a very nice looking laptop with the choice of running two different systems. We probabbly get ourselves one soon. Wicked ;-)

Truely wicked.
Reliable (eer - a bit more reliable) , plus nice looking hardware soon - yeah! With windows on it ???
Now we only need to replace windows with a reliable, slim OS and everything will be fine ...

I have been reading that you CAN absolutely dual boot the macbookpro, mac os and windows, using a ATI Mobility Radeon X1600... I desperately want to hear how resolume is running on it. cpu is an Intel Core Duo. have a look at http://www.apple.com/macbookpro for a peeksy.

I'm not a mac fan but this seems like nice new technology, and I do need to do demos on a mac for all the mac zealots out there, so why not have 2 systems in one... Do tell people, anyone have access to one of these?
