Yesterday I was vjing at a festival and as usual, I was handed last-minute content by a promoter. It was a 20min video. I quickly duplicated the video over several clips and used the beat looper to create smaller loops better suited to vjing. All went well for a while until all the clips started to randomly default the beat looper start time to the very start of the video making all the clips that I'd created exactly the same and rendering my effort pointless.

I recreated the beat-looper clips several times but after a while, they all suffered the same fate.

Is this a bug? Is there a solution?

BeatLooper loops from the current playback position. It doesn't store loops start and end points permanently in the clip data. Going back to a clip in a deck seems to work, but if you switch decks it probably won't loop again from the same points.
If you'd like to loop specific areas of the clip, try using the clip transport's in and out points.

The problem happened without switching decks and it appeared to be quite random: it worked for a while and suddenly all clips were reset. Very inconsistent. I'll use the in-out next time Saving the selected beat looper settings would be extremely useful in any case!
