It would be good if you could assign certain clips to only go to a predefined layer on activation. i.e. If I had a black and white flasing avi, that i only ever want to go on the top layer with alpha transp. So when ever I hit that midi key, that is assigned to trigger that clip, i know its going to jump into the top layer.
Does this make sense? or is it avaiable already?

you can assign midi for each clip to goto each layer, in the midi set up part click the numbers 1, 2, 3, for each layer
