mixing clips with frame rates - how does Resolume handle this?

I have done a bit of a search on this but can't find the exact answer I need.

I have a large number of clips I want to use for a project, and by necessity some are at 25 fps and some at 30 (they're all from analog video sources and some were PAL, some NTSC).

As I understand it, Resolume is OK with this, and will attempt to play all at their original framerate. But it won't be as smooth as if they were all at the same framerate. Have I got that broadly correct?

I don't really care whether clips run at original speed, more about smoothness of playback, and if possible not skipping or duplicating frames. So my ideal really would be to either slightly speed up the 25 fps clips or slightly download the 30 fps clips (I don't care which). Is there a way to do this? Is it even a sensible way to be thinking about this?

I was also wondering if I could 'convert' half the movies by speeding up/slowing down prior to using in Resolume, but as far as I can tell Alley can't do this - doesn't seem to do anything with frame rates as far as I can tell.

I'd convert the files to DXV with the original frame rate, then you can change the speed in the clip settings in Resolume if necessary.
Resolume will calculate which frame needs to be displayed at a given time, and will show that for you.
With a 30fps clip playing to a 60 Hz output, you can expect at least two clip frames to be displayed for every display frame.
Just give it a try, and see how the clips play.
