When using text sources a lot of fonts only have the 'regular' style available. The alternative options such as bold and italic are available in font book and other software. I've only got the standard fonts that come with the OS as it's a new machine, I'm the only user. OS Ventura 13.2.1

What's up with that?

Haha, I should have said Arial is one of the few that does.
Please have a look through the list and compare with Fontbook as I did. It's a majority that do not have styles available in Resolume. It's the same in Mojave too. Windows 10 has all the options for all the fonts.

Not all font faces might be supported on OSX.
Which font do you have issues with?
Could you attach the font file as an example?

I only have the fonts which are supplied with the OS, so you have them already.
Try looking at Helvetica for a start.....and please look through the list of built in fonts as I have suggested.
This is not about one particular font, it is maybe 90% of them which only have one style available, if you look at them in fontbook they show Bold, Italic etc are available. This suggests to me that Resolume is not loading the fonts correctly.

Hi all,

This is still an issue I think. I'm working on a show which the team is insistent that "League Spartan" be used.

When I install everything in OSX, I only see "Thin" as an option, even though all nine styles are confirmed to be installed in the Font Book. I'd appreciate any insights ASAP, as we load in to the opera hall on Monday.

If you install 'LeagueSpartan-VariableFont_wght.ttf,' it's true that only 'Thin' will be displayed, but isn't that simply because Resolume does not support Variable Fonts? If you install the 9 independent TrueType fonts found in the 'static' folder, 'LeagueSpartan-VariableFont_wght.ttf' will be removed, and they will all be displayed as shown in the attached image.

Variable fonts are not supported yet.

Thanks! It seems like the problem was that we installed everything, variable AND fixed. Once we uninstalled the variable, Resolume was able to see the fixed, whereas it was unable when variable was installed. Silly mistake on our part.
