Collapsing effect into title bars (revamp behaviour)
Posted: Wed Aug 09, 2023 16:49
Currently:
When clicking on a title bar of an effect (usually because you want to select it) the whole effect collapses to the title bar. At that point a slider sometimes appears (depending on the effect) and clicking again moves the cursor to the playhead of that slider (which is annoying behaviour all over resolume, but a separate issue) instead of expanding the effect from the title bar
Feature Request:
This area where the collapse all / expand all options reside could also be the area where you have copy all / cut all / paste all options as well. For you know... when we can eventually copy and paste multiple effects at a time.

Feature Request:
- Clicking an effect should simply select the effect (with a UI indicator, perhaps a slightly brighter titlebar color) to be ready to be copy pasted for instance)
- Double clicking the effect could collapse the title bar
- Ideally, however, collapsing the title bar of an effect should be done only via the arrow twirl on the left of all of the title bars only as would be expected behaviour with any UI that has an arrow twirl like that
- An option at the top of composition, layer, clip, etc to "collapse all effects / expand all effects" would be welcomed. A keyboard shortcut to perform this of course would also be beneficial.
- An option to collapse all EXCEPT for automated values. This would also have to be backed up with UI that indicates there are options that are collapsed even though some (the autmated ones) are currently being shown.
