An envelope on transport of a clip might be very handy.
For instance when you have two screens with some space between them in a horizontal direction and you have a clip of a car driving from left to right but it takes too long before the car appears in the screen on the right you could speed the car up a littel bit with an envelope on just that part of your clip where the car is in between the two screens. And many other cool tricks would be possible
