Windows, audio device?

In windows, which would be the most recommended audio output device TYPE?
Windows Audio?
Exclusive mode?
Low latency?
Etc etc

It's not often, happened twice in 10 months but every so often I have issues where I can be working all day long perfectly then a video may just play back with no audio, when tested repeatedly etc etc. Wondering if this may be part of the issue.
In both cases were usb sound cards.
One is a radial usb di, another is generic usb card... but there is a variety of devices.

These three should be quite good.

We've fixed an audio issue like what you describe a while back, around new year's.
Are you running the latest Resolume?

Actually no I'm not.
7.13.2
I'll be honest, the last year I've felt there were very few updates released with little in them for me to feel any real desire to update.
Was hanging around for something "larger" Eg play next column in autopilot, audio capture, multichannel audio etc.

If this is fixed, now then there's a motive.

hmm, yeah it's - #14243 A(+V) clips sometimes don't play part of the audio fix in 7.14
