I'm setting up a new show machine

Specs:

Ryzen 5560U with Radeon Graphics
16gb RAM
Win 11 23H2

With older Resolume versions it's working normally, but on the newest build I get grey squares in the bottom left of the clip display and clicking previews, etc are unresponsive. Also the program will not exit, I have to force close it. The faders however, do respond to the mouse.

I've built the show file on my laptop on the latest version so would really like to get this new version running please.

Try selecting an audio device in Resolume preferences.

Bro you're a superstar. That was exactly it.

For anyone else reading this later, I was playing tunes through the janky headphone jack patched to the sound system (lol) initially whilst setting up, installing resolume, etc, and when I unplugged it that output that was automatically assigned disappeared to windows - and also to Resolume, and the dell monitor I'm using has no audio, so primary sound driver, non existant - which hung it up.

Damn super edge case, but had me scratching my head, even a guy using resolume since the first release. Never saw those grey squares before...

Also fyi, this is the first club design I did using Resolume only for pixel bars, no LED walls, no projectors, no NDI, no HDMI, just artnet. And it's killer.

Which Resolume release are you using?

Arena latest version.

Interesting, 7.18.3 should not have audio issues like this.
We'll take a look.

We just wasted an hour trying to figure this one out with 7.18.2. Woulda been longer without this post.

Sometimes windows doesn't see our Focusrite audio interfaces and we need to unplug/replug the USB cable. Just doing that let windows and Arena see it and the clips instantly loaded.

Wouldn't have thought it was the issue in a composition with no audio content.
