So I have been racking my head up against a wall for days.

recently I started to have the pop up that I can't save composition due to file permissions.

I finally tried to save an empty composition and it was fine.

I opened my normal composition and try to save and it gave the error.

I deleted some clips and layers.

It then let me save.

So have I hit some sort of maximum amount of clips/layers/whatever that resolume can no longer save the composition?

Windows ransomware protection / protected folder access, and virus scanners can prevent Resolume writing to the documents folder.

Already checked that.

All was disabled before and is still disabled.

Like I said in my original post. I can save a new composition. I can even save the map, midi, keyboard settings.

I can now save my original composition because I deleted about 100 clips and multiple layers.

So have I hit a file size limitation?

The file was at 9.3mb. Hardly anything that large considering the video file sizes that get played.

There is no file size limitation, but you might be running out of drive space

2tb raid drive for os. Brand new build.
Plenty of room.
Content drive is 4tb raid setup.

With the two combined maybe im almost at 1tb of space used and the majority of that is content.

Sorry I'm not newb to the computing world. I have checked, rechecked. Triple checked!

The first thing is I can save a new empty composition. After deletion my main composition is now 8.5mb. Before when it would not save it was 9.3mb

This only started recently. Have not had a problem with the new build for 2 months.

This only started a few days ago.

Like I said previously. I deleted clips and layers and it would save again. I deleted about 150 clips and 4 layers.

So it really seems like a file size limit with resolume.

This is a serious problem and deleting clips and layers is a temporary fix.

There is no composition size limit, I have some 165 MB comps. Have you tried running Resolume using right click on program icon - Run as admin?
If that works, it's a folder permission issue.

What changed on the machine 2 days ago?

Do you have a filesystem quota set up for your user?

No quota, have tried run as admin.

None of it works.

And now resolume is crashing when in advanced output.

Found your crash reports, they originate from the nvidia drivers, try the latest from the studio line.
