Hi all,

I encounter quite a few problems on the show I'm currently running with Resolume 7.18.2 (not yet updated to 7.19 since show is playing every night and I don't have much time to test configuration changes..) on the following system :

ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506LH laptop
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz
32 Go RAM

Windows 11 Professionnal (64 bits)
Version 23H2 (build 22631.3155)
(Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22684.1000.0)

Internal GPU : Intel UHD Graphics
Driver version 30.0.100.9805
GPU total available memory : 16430 Mo
Dedicated memory (VRAM) : 128 Mo
Shared memory : 16302 Mo

Additional GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Driver version : 31.0.15.2123
GPU total available memory : 20239 MB
Dedicated memory (VRAM) : 3937 MB
Shared memory : 16302 MB

My setup is quite straightforward, no real fancy stuff :

1 external display (1920x1200 - 60Hz)

Advanced output : 14 slices on this display + 2 slices on a virtual display for live camera control at a very short and precise time in the show.

Comp settings : 1920x1200 px - 60 fps - 8bpc color depth
30 layers / 1 deck / 100 columns

Media : 10 video files (dxv .mov) + 48 pictures (either .jpg or .png files)
Most of the files have slice feather + softcropper (juicebar) effects

I'm using Zoltan's Linear OSC Controller for Resolume in order to send cues to Resolume (from the same computer) and control individual layer transitions blend modes and durations

Problems I encounter :

:!: VRAM usage reaching about 88% by the end of the show (about 1h30 long)
resulting in some clip transitions blending not so smoothly when VRAM usage is really high

(I tried switching to an empty deck whenever I can during the show, and then switching back to my main deck, but VRAM usage doesn't drop..)

:!: random software crash
you can find the log file attached below.

Since I'm not using the wire patches that are currently registered in the logs, I'll delete them from my Wire documents folder tomorrow in order to see if it changes anything, but in the meantime any advice would be warmly welcome !!

thanks for reading me, and thanks in advance for any suggestion !

why 30 layers? That looks very abnormal to me.

I'd recommend trying 7.19 release, it has a bunch of bug fixes including some Alley crashes.

If you still have issues, could you attach the composition file you use, so we can give it a look?
Thanks!

Any new information on this topic? We recently updated to the latest Resolume software and now have our Vram creeping up over the course of 12 hours it will max out even with nothing in the composition. We have reinstalled our drivers and it is the only thing that seems to clear the cache just for it to creep back up.

Without any information from your setup, we really can't help ;)

I would start by removing any FX that didn't ship with Resolume, and removing any capture devices, then slowly start adding them back in until you find the culprit. Any other software running or is it just Resolume?
