What is the best way to achieve 5.1 surround sound audio output for Resolume Avenue or Arena in 2024?

Working on a new project where 5.1 surround sound is desired.
We are well into using Resolume Avenue for the project and would like to see how we can use this program to achieve this.
If this cannot be achieved natively we are open to using other software in conjunction.
From what I gather there are a few other posts on this subject. Though, most are from at least 4 years ago or even longer.

With that I would like to ask what is the best way to achieve this in 2024?
Is it natively supported at this point?
From my research it appears as though the first best move is to ensure that the content itself has this information properly rendered in. It appears as though it is the audio codec that matters the most.
I found these test files in a Reddit post with a Google Drive link which could be helpful for testing purposes.

Assuming the content itself is ready and has these channels encoded can Resolume properly send these channels out to an audio interface that has at least 5 channels.
If not, it appears that most are using Ableton in parallel where the audio will be triggered over OSC when the clip is triggered.
This seems do able but adds a level of complexity and may not work in every setup.
Some also recommend QLab but that is Mac only and although it may solve the problem it does add complexity and may not work in every instance.
Top level having this feature natively in Resolume would be worth it to the max. If it is not currently supported is there any timeline for this feature request?
Thank you!
