Resolume Forum

Hello y’all

I experienced a bug with resolume working with a new machine that it’s specifically built to work with resolume and touchdesigner simultaneously but I’m afraid that resolume has some issues with this hardware. Currently I’m touring with a big production and I cannot afford to have this issue during the performance.

The components are the following:

Motherboard: ASUS PRO WS WRX90E-SAGE
CPU: AMD THREADRIPPER PRO 7965WX
GPU: PNY NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA QUADRO RTX 6000 48 GB GDDR6
RAM: DDR5 32GB MICRON / RDIMM / 5600 MHZ0 CL46 ECC

During the first show of the tour the mouse started to go slow and then resolume crashed.

Please I hope you can help me out with this because I’m overly concerned with this.

Can you try to recreate? What does your performance monitor in windows show?

It shows a performance of the 50% of the GPU on standby just having open resolume and touchdesigner and it scales up to the 70% and sometimes there’s some peaks up to 100%

There’s no practically no usage on the cpu on the windows monitor.

During the show the mouse started to go unresponsive and slow until resolume crashed, forcing me to reboot the system.

Yeah, CPU is usually under 10%. System memory can get up past 40Gb when using heavy FX but mainly it's GPU for Resolume. I run TD and Resolume (similar machine specs as well) with no issues, so that's why I was wondering what performance monitor was showing, maybe something else causing it?

I use the decklink capture card on touchdesigner and one elgato4k for resolume and I use spout to send content with touchdesigner to resolume
