fGorce 6800GT (AGP) and Pinnacle 500 card (PCI)

Hello there!

I wonder if there is a way getting

Leadtek fGorce 6800GT (AGP) and Pinnacle 500 card (PCI)

work together.

Short time ago my 6800GT did the "monitor 2 fullscreen to beamer signal" job via its S-Video output.
Now this output seems to be DEAD (very poor signal quality, looks like some chroma/waves/whatever effect "activated")

Now i bought a Pinnacle (Studio 10) 500-PCI card that has

1x Videocinch input
1x S-Video input
1x Videocinch output
1x S-Video output

The driver install works fine.

When i go to the microsoft display options I try to extend the windows dektop using the

PCI CARD's Cinch/S-Video OUTPUT!

but there is no such option.

I only can choose the S-Video Output from the 6800GT!

Hmm so whats the deal?
The microsoft helpcenter says that two (a AGP and PCI) graphics accelerators (in my case it is one gfx. acc. and a Pinnacle PCI Video-Editing card) only can perform "dual view" when the PCI
card is connected to PCI BUS 0.

This is inpossible - the zalman GPU cooler treats PCI BUS 0 and 1 as his territory)

Is there any way to choose the PCI cards outputs as Resolume outputs???

I am using

Windows XP home SP1
Leadtek geForce 6800GT 256ram
1024mb DDR Ram
BIOS: Phoenix (05/17/04)
Motherboard: FUJITSU SIEMENS D1607
Chipset: VIA VT8383/5 Apollo K8T800(M), AMD Hammer
Soundcard (onboard): VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
Monitor: Sony SDM-S73 [17" LCD]

I am so afraid! This HAS TO WORK!

Thank you for your help!
If there is no way to solve this - what is are the alternatives???

Greetings, Julian

the pinnacle card is made for video cutting. it is not a graphic card, no monitor output. the inputs and outputs are made for recording and output to tape. maybe you can use the card in resolume as a live input. look under sources.
a tip for your graphiccard:check if svhs is enabld in the bios setup or if the videooutput is setup right: pal and so on or try a new cable or adapter.
another possibilitie is to choose the chinch output(bios again).

hello there!
thank you for your answer!

The guy in the store said it is possible to use the pinnacle PCI card's output for desktop extension!

I do not necessarily want to use it as an life input. First I need an output!! gg

The 6800GT only has an sVideo output (no cinch output) and the signal died from one day to another (maybe SP2 did this, i installed it almost the same time the sVideo signal became this ugly - I deinstalled SP2 some days ago)

The cable and adapter work fine.

hey! i am trying to send the signal via DV-out.
the architecture of the DV output says that it delivers an ANALOG signal, but when i connect an VGA LCD Monitor (with an DV-VGA adapter) the monitor doesn't get a signal.

Whats the problem??

i am sure you can also use a chinch output. normally there is an adapter, wich offers both possibilities.
