I have a project here.
The main idea will be to film people while interviewing them, then use the footage with Resolume.
There's no problem for me to do that, except that the sound from the footage doesnt come out the speakers?
Is there a way for Resolume to play the sound out from the footage?
Thanks

Yep,
I can use any format really, thats no issue at all.
Just let us know which format will be the best to use to get sound out.
So is it Quicktime the best for that - Sorenson?
I just used a plain avi microsoft 1 - no compression: no sound out
EDIT: I just used a QT file and still no sound out. I've check the audio tab in Resolume and with both files the sound is getting in no problem: I just can't hear anything going out!

i used to hear sound in some flash files where sound was loaded...this maybe won't help you though. never tried with quicktime.
one workaround there is to trigger the video in resolume by midi and at the same time having let's say ableton live play the sound, linked to the same midi-note. should work and due to easy ableton-midi-assignment you could even have more possible sounds for one video; could be nice as well, but i don't know what you're going for.

just tried with a flash file and got sound out! yeah!
Now it seems to be a hell of a job if I have to synchronize a vido file with a swf containing my sound. I will try to put the video into flash and see what's the story.
The problem that I see coming will be for the lenght really: that will be a very heavy swf to load (could have like an hour of video!)
So the good news is SOUND IS GETTING OUT RESOLUME - using flash files at least.
Now I got to work on the control of it within Resolume.
Cool anyway!

if you want to do propper AV set with Resolume it,s best to do the audio in Ableton live and send a midi signal to resolume to trigger the video. This way you have always perfect sound and video.
Resolume does not play any audio, the only reason that it,s working in flash is because it can not be disabled

furthermore i experienced sound in flash, regardless of resolume, to be everything but synced to the image. there are several ways to handle sound in flash as you might know, but none of them is satisfying in my opinion. don't know about flash 8 though. one hour of *.swf probably won't work anyway

try ableton live, great possibilities there....

ok then.
You don't have to convince me about the liability of the sound in Flash, I've been all the way there. The funny thing when you add a swf with sound in resolume is that the sound keeps playing even if you remove the swf from the decks!
So what's the story about ableton live - never worked with it. What do I need to know about it and what do I need to do exactely. I am a "image" guy so never really worked with sound. Does this involve hardware as well or just softs?
Thanks
