i'm about to buy laptop to start performing and i got confused here in the forum. i read hot reco to buy ACER ASPIRE 5024 or TOSHIBA TECRA, i read that ATI card is better and priferd 128MB(like X700) that can run DX9. I will use an external HD to GET faster RPM and i got fixe on the 2-3 posibillitys but then... I saw few members asking about INTEL GMA900/950. now this card run UP TO 128MB shared and i understand that its not good' isnt it? or resolume will run good with this card ?

Hi Poki,

I've just bought a new laptop and am very happy with the results.
I haven't tried it on an all night gig yet though,
but in the studio its behaving fine so far.

with the current specs (1GB ram, 512 video ram, 7200 RPM HD)
I would be disapointed with anything less than perfect Resolume response,
although I'm aware not all users can commit to saving up so much money
for a dedicated Resolume laptop...

FYI, the machine I'm talking about is a Dell XPS with a nVidia card.

maybe think of the future. open gl is getting more and more important. so my choice would be not a intregated graphic card, like like the intel 940 ( i dont know the name rigth now ).
go for a geforce, like 7600 go. look for real ram on the grapiccard, no shared memory.

resolume dont support dual core , but if you want to do other stuff dualcore is the future.

1 gigabyte is the minimum.

of course resolume runs also on slower laptops fine and it depends on your buget.

a tip for online ordering is zepto. there you can individually configure your laptop. and they are much cheaper than everyone else.

thanks mates
