My Wire transport controls keep hiding themselves.
Every time I start up Wire I have to make them visible manually and often while I'm working they will disappear on their own.

The transport controls are not visible, if there are no nodes that use the transport controls. Only when you drop in a node that uses them like transport time, then you will see the transport controls appear.
