hello just downloaded the demo of arena and trying to understand if it is for me
At glance i like it,but there is something i need to knowbefore all
Is it possible to create a sort of automation, where i can tell to a certain fx to change a certain parameter from x at time 0 to y at time 1?
this is fundamental for my need, need to know before i dive in the sw
thanks a lot

Yes, in Resolume Arena, you can create automations by using envelopes to adjust parameters over time. Although there is no traditional timeline, you can set envelopes for specific parameters to change from value X at time 0 to value Y at time 1.

If you were really looking for more of a sequencer where you can record controllers, parameters and notes, like you would control a synthesizer, then you could use arena in conjunction with for instants Ableton live. Then you could do the sequencing in Ableton live and that would control Arena like a very extensive video synthesizer....

The link function is only to sync the tempos together, so your movies will play in the same speed as you're Ableton composition. By the way there's only works if your clips are set to bpm instead of timeline. To control different parameters in arena from within Ableton you need to use OSC or Midi.
Check out this page about OSC
https://resolume.com/support/en/osc
There are also quite a few max4live plug-ins that have to do with Resolume so you can definitely have a look there as well.
I found these tutorials, when searching for Resolume and Ableton on YouTube, but there are more
Hope this helps you on your way...
