try dual view in the graphiccard setup. after this restart resolume, click screensetup and enable the second monitor to fullscreen and choose a rendering and a output resolution, like 640*480 internal and 800*600 for the output.
if the screen setup doesnt offer a second monitor, just dvdmax, you did something wrong in the monitor setup. is a second monitor conected to the computer ? the first monitor must be the primary display.

Hi Khrystarticus,
Just for the record, you posted your question two days ago.
We have a lot to do so normally we wait a bit to see wether other people allready gave an answer to your questions. If that's not the case we will step in and see if we can help. That's the beautifull thing of a forum, it helps us put more time in developing instead of answering questions all day.
But i agree your problem has to be dealt with, could you let us know what you've done to solve your problem (maybe mail us privately if you don't want to share it with others).
We haven't done much more testing on the DVD-max (or theatre mode) lately.
Because we think using a dualview is a more relibale option and is much faster then the overlay solution.

If is not stated in the manual but overlays in Resolume only work with Ati cards that support 'theatre mode' and Matrox cards that support 'dvd-max'.
We will put this in the manual to prevent this misunderstanding.
You are using Nvidia cards and we don't have any experince with them using overlays wich work with Resolume. That is because Resolume does not work with the same kind of overlay the media player does. Resolume can only work with cards that support RGB overlays, most cards onbly support YUV overlays, we can't support YUV overlays because we will have to convert the RGB data to YUV and that is way too slow to do in realtime. So far we only know of Ati and Matrix supporting RGB overlays. We found out by accident that the Ati cards also suooprt this kind of overlay, but from the start we actually only supported MAtrox cards, that's why it is still called 'DVD-max'.

Hope this make things clearer for you.
Cheers
Edwin de Koning
