hi folks. our 2nd vga output only works when we directly connect to a second monitor, not if we connect to a matrix switcher/distribution amplifier. we've got a nvidia geforce pcx 5300.
anybody experienced the same problem/has any solution?

cheers

Greetings,
Are you running your signal through a scan converter, or is the distribution amplifier VGA?

yes one time this weekend on my last show.....:(

the solution i found is to connect first your 2 vga cable on your 2 monitor before putting on your computer, after starting, when the computer has reconise the 2 screen, you deconnect the cable and connect it to the switch box....;)

it's a little bit trasch has solution but it's the only one i found.
if someone have a better one...

cheers for the reply guys.
@doublerig: no, i#m not using a scan converter, we use vga.
@nowig: yeah i thought about this as well, might try it next time - if it solves my problem isnt there a dummy which i can leave in my computers vga slot? if not, what should i do?

Greetings,
Yeah, if you're using VGA swapping out your cable every time is probably your best bet. I need to use composite video, becuase I run over long distance and it's just more manageable. The inexpensive scan converter I use acts like a monitor, so I don't need to consistantly switch cabling.
