creating clips from static images

I've been trying to get some decent clips out of static images, and I wanted to share it with you guys.

you'll need pete's plugins and resolume 2.4

first set your bpm correctly with the song you're listening (I guess you guys play with music all the time, right?)

global effect #1: spiralblur (from pete's freeframe plugins)
settings:

angle: 0
scale: bpm, forward , bounce, 1 bar
layer count: fixed max value works great.
origin X: bpm, forward, bounce, 2 bar

global effect #2: delay RGB with low frame settings (r:1, g:3, b:5 for example)

global effect #3: start experimenting yourself here, trantric feedback was fun :P

anyway, the most important thing is the source picture, I've used one of those pics taken with 1 sec exposure of a guy spinning sticks on fire, so it's all black with high contrasted curves on it. just to get an idea.

I was glad with the results, it was my first test, but it made me realize you can get a lot out of a static picture.. I'll test some other combinations, and keep posting them, hope you guys do the same and throw some tips on freeframe combos ;)

applying bpm to effect controls is really great, have you tried pete's kaleidoscope yet? damn groovy!!!

hi cuak,
i tried your combo's and it looks very cool.
try putting in the freeframe source plugin in the second layer and set that layer to 'add' and play around with the opacity.

cheers
