capture problems

hi having little bit of trouble
1 im havin trouble capturing live video into resolume it says there are no capture drivers do i have to downlaod some. i try ths using firewire
2 ive been trtying to record recorded viz back to dv using a composite connection but to no avail any suggestions?
i have a 3ccd xli
