converting different formats

hi can anybody recomend a good free programme for converting mpeg 1,2,3, and 4 to avi and vice versa also for converting vob files. basically a programme that can convert as many differnt formats as possible. thanx

Hi.. ive tried a free one called SUPER, which converts lots of formats and is very simple to use. No idea what others think of it (id be interested to see if its considered ok or not by 'those in the know')
