In many cases the position does not revert, and I end up touching it with the mouse, so if I touch the value with the mouse and then change the DMX value, it may add or subtract from there.

Is it not advisable to control it with DMX (art-net)?

Copying over the whole Documents/Resolume Arena folder is recommended. That will copy the shortcuts and advanced output presets also.
Then your composition should be able to load the DMX preset it was saved with.
DMX Preferences might need to be adjusted for the new network card.
