SLICE TRANSFORM - Scale Suggest

I use the SLICE TRANSFORM tool a lot and I have a suggestion that could improve performance when we have different slices with measurements that represent different image proportions.
Within the Tool we have the "Main Scaling" selector and individually we have a "scaling" for each Slice with 6 options (main, fill, fit, stretch, mask, invert mask) that in many cases quickly solves what we need but that sometimes I am limited in the case of not wanting to deform the source image and being able to cover slices with different proportions.
That's why it seems to me that it would be incredible to add a "scale" slider similar to the one included in the Transform, perhaps without the specific W and H controls, but that way with a single clip I could control several slices with different proportions looking for the best configuration in those cases.
It is clear that the tool is GREAT and very USEFUL! I use it a lot and I find myself in situations where I have to shoot the same video source in three different clips, each with its respective scale and then a "Slice transform" for each clip, something cumbersome when I could do it with just one clip and a few more parameters complexes in the internal menu of the Slice transform.
Thank you very much in advance! It's just a suggestion, I know that Resolume is in constant development and it seems to me that it adds a lot to the user experience when thinking about upgrades!

Thank you!

Sounds like a great opportunity for a Wire patch.

I've built out similar patches in the past. Each slice get's it's own transform control. It does however eat up a LOT of UI real estate.

NICE! i still haven't internalized myself in assembling tools with WIRE! It a pending and very powerful matter. I should learn how to use it!

Thanks!

It's pretty much just a copy/paste of the groups in Wire and then adding the input and output to match the other groups.

Code: Select all

--begin-wire-patch--
