CUISINE #4 - 17/11/06 Bristol - visuals by Sanch [Meso/vvvv Frankfurt] and Pikilipita
Posted: Fri Nov 03, 2006 02:32
Hi guys !
After the brilliant performance from the 4 french Vjs crew studioVJ 2 weeks ago, we are proud to have on board 2 excellent visuals artists, who works in a quite unusual / original way:
- Sanch, from Frankfurt, developed his very own "realtime rendered 3D audio reactive visuals", using vvvv. If you can really picture this in you mind, check his website and come down to the VJschool session to find out what all this means, you might be well surprised..
- Pikilipita, the London based frenchie has also a unique technique to mix live visuals, he developed a software on his favorite toy, a usual gameboy, to mix loops and 8bit visuals like nobody can..
As ever, I won't bother you with the audio lineup, but we got a soldier from the detroit's legendary "Underground Resistance" down in Bristol.
Here are some more details.
As usual, VJ are welcome to Pm me to get more infos and hookup..

"Underground Resistance is a label for a movement.
A movement that wants change by sonic revolution. We urge you to join
the resistance and help us combat the mediocre audio and visual programming
that is being fed to the inhabitants of Earth, this programming is stagnating the minds
of the people; building a wall between races and preventing world peace.â UR

DJ3000 [UR / Motech - Detroit]
Not dependent on trends, gimmicks or fads the legendary Detroit based
UR techno label describes human agent Dj 3000 as âusing objects
covered with microscopic grooves to force masses to move
rhythmically against their willâ. Wait and see.

Sanch live visuals [Meso / vvvv - Frankfurt]
Designer & Vj SanchZ has developed his own blend of real-time generated 3D motiongraphic
programs. He creates complex organic areas built from mathematical formulas which transform
music in pure movement of colour. Expect a truly interactive performance as his visuals will be
in sync with NuShitZuâs live minimal techno.

NuShitZu live minimal [AudioAkupunktur - Berlin]
The Peruvian Berliner is a busy man. Already dedicating most of his time running his own label,
producing music in his âbaukastenâ studio, or performing live, he lately got more involved
in multimedia collaborations. Nuâs use of Vermona groovebox and Lemur controller should
also spice up his live minimal techno act.

VJ Pikilipita live visuals [France]
Doing live visuals with a gameboy?? âYes, you can. Iâve developed a program for it!â,
says 8-bit addict Pikilipita.

Already at the forefront of dance music in the late 90âs by bringing Uk Garage & Breakbeat
that side of the atlantic she has since then been very active on the LA scene and evolved
towards more 4/4 territories.
