cost effective audio integration ideas?

So I recently got a residency at a club in Baltimore Maryland, which is a city that doesn't have a VJ scene. But I am looking to take my craft to the next level.

The club owner has seen a lot of VJ'ing, and really wants audio more tightly integrated into my performance. For instance, playing quick monologues from Scarface, and jumping into a 50 cent track.

I was curious if anyone on this board is incorporating audio, and how they are doing it. I read about a possible workaround by using flash clips to playback the sound. But what are people doing?

I was considering inputting a dvd player into my live feed in resolume, but then i'd lose my live camera.

Any suggestions on how to integrate audio into my set?

Also I read resolume was working on an A/V product to be released in the future. What is the expectancy on that? Should I be waiting for that technology to be available?

Thanks!

Jon

most people simply connect their laptop running Resolume and a DVD player to a video mixer and do the mixing old school, you can also sun your live feed though this mixer.
