Hi gang,

I'm having a weird Resolume/MIDI controller problem, a week before a big gig!

Every time I set new MIDI shortcuts they work fine during the session I'm working on them, and I'm saving my Composition before I shut down, but then when I reopen Resolume, the MIDI shortcuts have disappeared.

I tried setting a couple of Keyboard shortcuts and they are saving fine, so it's just the MIDI that's the problem.

I've tried using a different midi controller and a different USB cable but it makes no difference.

Resolume hasn't forgotten any of the existing MIDI shortcuts I saved a few months ago but any shortcuts I've set within the past couple of weeks or so are not saving.
I don't know how long this issue would have been present because I haven't been saving new shortcuts since November as I've been working on new animations.

I tried installing the latest version of Resolume but that didn't help.

Can anyone figure out why this could be happening and what I need to do to resolve it?

I have Resolume Avenue (latest version) using a Dell Alienware 15 R4 laptop
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-8950HK CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with Max-Q Design

PS. the Default MIDI shortcuts file "Date Modified" is still at 16th November 2024 when I had my last gig, so it looks like the MIDI shortcuts simply aren't being saved with the Composition for some reason.

PS. I'm thinking this issue may have happened because I had a fresh install of my computer Operating System a couple of months ago.
I was able to save a shortcut Preset file but then when I restarted Resolume and plugged in my controller Resolume crashed.
I could only get it working again once I'd removed the preset file from the Shortcuts folder (and I went back to a previous version of the composition).

I'd be extremely grateful for any advice!

Update - I've had some advice which suggests it's because after the reinstall of the operating system the computer doesn't recognice my controller as the same device.

Also I've spoken to Zoltan by email.

I'm using a new computer now and setting up all my midi shortcuts from scratch which is also what i would most likely have to do with my problem laptop.
