I have a Duron 700Mhz

3dfx voodoo 3 3000 AGP 16mb

... can you increase this a little ?
Duron 700 => today for 50 Euro you have a 1300mhz
128Ram... => your RAM will be used a lot in Resolume,
256Mb minimum, and try to use DDR
3dfx... 16mb, ...=> man you have to upgrade !
alo for 50 Euro you can have a GeForce 4 , 64Mb, AGP x4.
Regarding your old PCI: why not for the desk screen...

if i was you,i 'd go for a matrox g 450,32mo,don't go for a g550,they don't work as well as the 450,for your motherboard,it depends of her capacity to upgrade,check their specs,DDR is important for the new Athlon,maybe not for the Duron,ask your favorite dealer

I would choose certainly ddr ...Matrox 450 or 550 rather than GeForce... and your board probably dont have ddr slots...
