No, I'm having trouble with this too...
But now I'm bizzy making decks, and sort them on their style (wild, easy, yellow, etc) and type of video (stop motion, abstract, objects, video)
So that's how I do it...

But what could be useful is to add keywords to files, and that resolume recognizes these, and you can make decks with the keyword "red" or "numbers"....

Well, I sort the in folders and them I "deck" them according styles: colors, movies, numbers, texts, etc...

Hi,
We were thinking of a way to tag files, so you can have different tags connected to a file. Then we need to build a search function wich easily picks all the files wich you have marked with a certain tag.
It's definatly interesting and especially when you have a huge amount o files.

I sort my files mostly just on date of creation. because i remember from almost all my files when i aprox. created them. The thumbnail previewer in resolume does the rest.

Since resolume has the bpm beat function i also put the number of beats of the movie @ the end of the file name.

Yes, a tagging and search function in Resolume would be the Solution.
I got all my files named by Video/Flash, Colour, Speed, Content and Cuts/Loops. But the Filenames are too long to see them completyly in Resolume. On the screen (Native Resolution Laptop 1600x1024) would be enough space to view everything, but the Resolume Main only uses 3/4 of the available space to Display information. i Think that many Tfts support a higher resolution above the suggested 1280x1024. Why doesnt resolume uses this, to display a wider File Browser and some additional things (Direct BPM view and a deck / file search function for example).
Hrr my english is getting worse.. I hope you understand what i want.....

I finely put my files together in different categories like wmp, retro, lines.blocks and so on.

A search function is a very good idea to find your missing files. Instead to search your entire computer you can find them instandly in resolume
