DMX LED lighting anyone?

I'm using trial 2.41 resolume to test dmx led lighting along with Enttec DMX USB PRO. I was excited when I got the Chauvet COLORMIST LED Par light pack cause I thought I'd be able to use resolume to control my new leds. My first thoughts of the colormist lighting was that it's pretty cool... being able to fade lighting and controlling the mood of the party. The colormist led lighting works great with its native colormist controller. However, this was not true once I started using dmx to control the lights. To do this you must plug the dmx controller into the chauvet colormist controller to control the lights. Once you're dmx controlling the leds they flicker! no matter which dmx controller you throw at them. It's not a problem with enttec or resolume. I've tried other dmx programs and they do the same thing. So, I emailed enttec about the "dmx usb pro" interface and they said it was chauvet.. that they're probably not dmx512 compliant. I verified that it was the colormist setup by using another dmx controller and the colormist led lighting still flickers.

Anyway, to change the subject on some positive stuff,... In trial and error we've created nifty flash file. If you're interested here is a flash file that was created by my friend for controlling scanners, gobos and/or led lighting. Actually it was altered from the dmx example file in the 2.41 resolume install. When loaded into resolume in flash mode it will show you the 4 parameter values that you're sending to your lights. It works great with my other dmx lighting. I'm able to move my scanners and gobo and to the beat.

I know it's pretty simple, but it works. Currently I use a behringer bcf to send changes for the four parameters. My only problem is just getting a LED DMX lighting system that works flawlessly without flicker. Resolume works great with for dmx though. Props! If I get my LED lighting working with the trial I just might have to buy! In the mean time I'll try to contribute my findings with DMX and led lighting. :P

Anyway (last one), here's my question to the forum. Does anyone have any suggestions for LED lighting that is dmx512 compliant and doesn't flicker? Thanks!
