The new Edirols are great for VJ apps. Tzhe hardware is better then SL, specially the faders. Takes few minutes to set.

I recently bought the Novation ReMOTE Zero SL, and am trying to configure it for Resolume. Anyone out there using this equipment able to give me some tips, or forward me your MIDI setup?
I'm still getting my chops together with Resolume, but good equipment helps. I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop with the Dualcore2 processor, and Nvidia Geforce 7900 video card...plenty of speed and memory - unfortunately its running Vista, but seems not to be a problem with the VJ software.
¡Gracias amigos!

Ok, to answer (some) of my own questions...I found templates (sysex files) available at the Novation website (
http://www.novationmusic.com/files/ReMO ... 050907.zip) which include a Resolume template (thanks to Jim Myogenic!!). Then I discovered I had to go to
http://www.midiox.com and download the Midi Ox program, in order to send the Resolume sysex file to the ReMOTE SL. Then I had to go into Resolume preferences and map the MIDI commands from the ReMOTE SL, as explained in the Resolume manual.
The setup isn't complete yet, and I may want to (when I figure out how) remap some functions or add new ones. But I am lots farther then I was a couple of hours ago.
All the above info may be on this forum in other places...so if I am posting in the wrong spot - SHOOT ME!!

If I survive all this tech work, eventually I will be able to exercise my creativity enuf to actually perform....! hooray!!
