OK so Im thinking of buying a MacBookPro but really cant find a straight answer to the question- Will Resolume work and output just like on a windows laptop under a programme such as parallels?

i know that I will probably need a scan converter for the signal out of the Mac but what about performance and the interface- Parallels?

There are a few threads on this subject around but no one has actually given a straight answer, so if ya know it would be a great help.

sorry.. cant say exactly... but i would say in parallels it would not run very well... boot camp would run alot better.

but you would need a scan converter for both.

Suppose the only way to really know is to borrow one and have a go then.

Cheers

i use an mbp and resolume with bootcamp. it works perfectly. the single glitch is that you can only use vga out. mac's vga to svideo adapter does not work for some funny reason but no doubt you could use a scan converter to sort this.

one bonus of using an mbp to run resolume is that you have a 'clean' partition (by virtue of installing windows) that will run resolume optimally. hope this helps

I believe all you need is a $20USD adapter to output to svideo on the mac
