Discrepancies between Resolume and Render to File

I have a clip with an effects stack, amongst them Acuarela. The speed of the motion I see when playing the clip in Resolume, is way faster than what I see if I render the clip to file. It literally looks like it's in slow motion.

If I use the record function instead, the clip plays closer to the original speed, but the overall quality is worse.

Both are being rendered to ProRes 422 high quality.

Can you share such a composition?

I just sent a crash report. All of a sudden the entire composition started behaving erratically, the displayed graphics didn't behave properly, I was getting blocky stripes through them, random colours and Arena quit after a few seconds with no crash report window.

This same comp with everything the same other than an edited envelope was working without issue all day yesterday.

Where should I send the comp to?

I quit Resolume from the task manager and rebooted my machine. It appears to be working again.
I'll try the rendering and see what happens.

not related to the crash but the rendering discrepancy - I guess this is a framerate issue, your composition might run at your machine at 50, 60 or even more fps. Your renderings might have lower fps, by default (if you haven't changed them from auto in the composition settings) sources render at 30 fps.

Some Wire effects, like Acuarela, render each frame (like a feedback), so their look is highly dependent on the fps they are running. Try changing your framerate in the composition settings, does this change the look of your renders?
