Recording troubleshoot help -- instant abort
Posted: Tue Mar 10, 2026 17:16
Hi All,
I'm trying to record in Resolume 7.24.3, but every time I try the recorder turns off without recording anything. in the record submenu I can see a file with a red error that says "aborted" with no other information. When I check the folder I'm recording to it's empty.
I've isolated down to recording a single clip on a single layer with no added effects. The clip is a DXV file 2360x1640 at 24fps with no alpha. The record target is the composition set at 1920x1080. Record is set to start immediately and end manually.
Troubleshooting steps I've already tried so far --
-- I've tried setting the composition to match the clip aspect ratio
-- I've tried all the file presets.
-- I've tried changing the recording output to my desktop and I've tried recording to an external SSD
-- I've opened a previous composition and tried recording in that and I'm also getting the same problem, which leads me to believe it's not an issue with the particular composition workspace I'm in.
I'm using a new 2025 Razer Blade 14 with 954GB of open storage and 16GB of RAM so storage shouldn't be an issue.
Anything else I should try? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks all!
