Two things i would like to see:

The record function work for longer than a few minutes
The ability to split up a recording into multiple files (useful as an instant replay feature) and allow the user to set the record length of the clips

You can record as long as you have free space on your HDD, whats the prob?

I've found that using the same machine to play and record is fraught to begin with never seems to be enough processing speed to accomplish it (with a high level of quality over a long period of time).

I have 1x6 5 Wire DA. For those that do not know what 5 wire is, it's how one would break out a D-Sub 15 (VGA) into 5 analog channels (RGBHV) You never know what you are going to walk into if you're hired at a club. They could have a Composite, S, Component, or VGA Backbone. With the right break in / break out cables and video card, you can be prepared for anything with one little box. -- How this relates to a record? simply take a NTSC / PAL composite, S, or Component out of your program mix and simply route a tap to outboard, VHS, DVD, or capture card on another computer. Take a Record out of the DJ Mixer (this will eliminate volume going or down) and you have a perfect program record to finalize as soon as the music stops. This eliminates the "not enough Processing Speed" issue trying to playback and record from the same machine.
