I am taking a feed from a laptop via svideo and connecting it to my laptop via a usb capture card. Im outputting this to a projector and there is a little bit of a delay.
Is that from the svideo connection?
Do i need a better video card?
My video card is standard however i dont want to buy a new laptop and then have the same problem.
Thanks in advance.

It's very difficult to eliminate the delay, sometimes, even some professional or semi-professional jobs I see video delay.... So to eliminate that delay it must be almost tv professional.

Thanks for your reply.

What do you mean by TV professional?
Do you think the capture device is a suffecient wat to connect svideo then?
thanks a lot

I mean that we have to have very expensive equipment (tv professional) to avoid delay and it's not easy doing it and to have money do buy it.
I also use a capture device by usb and also have delay. The delay comes from the capture device, the computer, the required time to send the signal and the projection equipment.

Ok, thanks a lot.

Do you think there is a good way to delay the audio for the same amount of time?
I know that sounds dumb.
But i really need to have syncronicity.
thanks again!

The firewire camera feed is really pixelated. Is that just a matter of settings?

I can't help you there... It's not easy because resolume doesn't work with sound. When I have to have sound and video synchronized I mix my video output and the camera/audio in a video mixer.

ok
