Serato/Tracktor Scratch Video style function

Now that it looks like Resolume 3 will have audio support would it be possible to use a turntable/CDJ with a control record/CD to control the timeline of the A/V clip in resolume. It would be great to have a similar functionality as Serato Scratch Video and from a performance perspective it would be great for allowing the audience to understand that by scratching the record you are scratching the audio AND the video.

I'm not looking to mix audio like a DJ, merely to be able to scratch audio soundbites and dialogue within a clip and integrate that with a DJ's set.

So basically, could I take Serato Scratch Live or Tracktor Scratch hardware and use it to control the A/V in Resolume 3??

Can't wait for the new release, looks fantastic from even the little that I've seen so far :D

the latest cdj's from pioneer (400's) is a fully fledged midi controller, not sure if the cost of it is worth simply using it for resolume but that's the way pioneer is going with the next gen cdj's.

I do not think we can support Serato Scratch or Tracktor Scratch because they do not publish exactly how their cd/vinyl timecode works. We can support MsPinky vinyl control for scratching though. It's not something we,ll do in the first release of Resolume 3 but it's definitely something we,re excited about!

Is there any update on this? Trying to figure out the best combination for using timecode/vinyl to scratch & control the timeline on Resolume 3.

me and a friend did this using Ms Pinky. comes as open MAX patch and is therefor fully editable. And it comes with MAX4Live functionality and the Ms Pinky SDK!

Last year, I figured out how to map Pioneer CDJ 900s to Resolume layer controls while using Tracktor. The key is to use a CDJ with Tracktor as a HID device (not with timecode CDs). And then the trick is to first launch the MIDI OX utility and route the MIDI coming into the computer to both Tracktor and Resolume via MIDI yoke routing.

I made a demo video last summer. Forget the first 5 minutes of me mumbling and jump to the 5.15 mark.

On a totally unrelated note... is there any word on Resolume 4 supporting IP cameras?

I just stumbled on Mixxx, an open source DJ tool, an they support Scratch. (http://www.mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/vinyl_control) Could their source code be used to add support for Scratch in Resolume in the future?
