keyboard mappings won't stick

Hi - I have bin reorganizing keyboard mapping but it won"t stick - after I restart resolume all settings for the keyboard are back to default. It will be cool If someone give me some tips for it - thanks.

its a known bug, search the forum!
make your keyboardmapping.
apply the "read-only" switch (windows explorer) to \\Resolume 2.4\\settings\\preferences.xml

I thnik it's better to first to disable the "read-only" in \\Resolume 2.4\\settings\\preferences.xml, go to Resolume and make your keyboard mapping settings, save it and exit Resolume. Then go to \\Resolume 2.4\\settings\\preferences.xml and chance again to "read only" if you don't want to change it anymore or just leave it so you can change every time you need.

Like so many people, I've been having a problem with Resolume 2.4 losing my keyboard mappings. So I searched the forum, tried a few things… and they failed. I'm posting here in the hopes that someone else can advice.
First, the basics: I'm on a MacBook Pro running Windows XP SP 2, and Resolume 2.41.
Okay, so…
I set up a bunch of custom keyboard mappings. I've noticed that when I switch keyboard mapping, the file \\Resolume 2.4\\settings\\preferences.xml gets updated. Then I noticed that file was getting rewritten every time I quit Resolume, which is presumably when my keyboard mappings were getting wiped.
So I locked that file, using right-click - Properties - check the "read-only" box.
On rebooting, though, that file remains unchanged, and my keyboard preferences still get lost.
So… are keyboard preferences being stored/read from somewhere other than preferences? When I look at preferences.xml via Notepad, it sure doesn't look like it actually holds the mapping data---I just don't see enough fields for it. So maybe there's some other file that should get locked?
Is there any solution, or is this just a Resolume bug we live with?
