I think to buy a laptop dedicated to visual live. It's a AMD Athlon XP 1700+ ; 256Mo DDR ; HD 20Go ; Graphic card ATI mobility Radeon 64Mo. Are theses caracteristics enough sufficient to run Resolume ?

does it have a fast hard-drive? if not, think about an external USB2.0 drive - hard drive speed is very important, and often not great on a laptop.

What is the best speed for a hard drive, to run Resolume ?
Why USB 2.0 drive ? Is USB 1.0 exist and what's the difference ?
---
And is 256 Mo ram enough ?
Thanx 4 your answer...!

USB1.0 data transfer rate i think is too slow - pretty much all new machines use USB2.0.
Harddrive needs to be as fast as possible for reliable clip triggering and playback.
