universal midi rotery linked to mouse position

Ok a dj was telling me about a function in some audio program :
-when your mouse hoovers over the bpm, the rotary would change the bpm
-when your mouse hoovers over the volume the same rotary would change the volume
- etc, etc
Seems a nice function for resolume, doesn't it?
