How to entirely remove source video with Pix in Space?

When I try using the Pixels in Space effect, it appears overlaid on top of the source video.

I would like for the source video to not show up, so that only the the pixel grid shows up.

I have tried varying the Opacity slider in the Clip Effect, but only seems to affect the pixel grid - at opacity 0% the pixel grid disappears and I see the source video, at opacity 1.00% (it should be 100% shouldn't it?), I see pixel grid overlaid on the source video.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I had the same problem. Putting the effect- mixmode (add, subtract ....) to wipe with opacity at 100% did the job for me, but i think, there should be an alpha (like it´s called in Reso 2) or normal mixmode for effects.

Can you post a screenshot? This is what it should look like:

Looks like this (even with alpha as mixmode, which i finally found after looking through that list a hundred times ;) ):

Mine looks similar. When I apply the effect at the clip or layer level, I get this:

When I apply it at the composition level, it looks OK, like this:

Aah yes now I see the problem, when "Pixels in Space" is appplied to a clip or layer it does not work correctly, only when applied to the entire composition it works.

Thanks for testing this, we,ll fix it.
