mac trouble [fixed]

Hello,
sorry for bothering the forum with my macbook trouble all the time.
I have just one question: As I already wrote I just bought a macbook. Actually just before resolume 3 was released, so at that time I didnt know about it being incompatible with macbooks. As it was anounced that resolume will run on macosx and windows I thought that getting a macbook will be ok.
Now after the release of course I feel kinda stupid as the price difference between a macbook and a macbook pro is not so huge, so if I had known about the trouble with resolume I would have bought a macbook pro.
So my question is, is it reasonable to think that mac books will be support in the near future? Because if otherwise, I will try to sell my macbook as soon as possible (while it is still brand-new) and buy a powerbook..
So would you please confirm about that? I have been a long time user of resolume and just upgraded to avenue.
Thanks,
k

Resolume 3 is not compatible with the Intel integrated graphics chip that is in the MacBook and it will not be in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we have made this clear from the moment we announced Resolume 3 back in July.
The good thing is that Apple will be introducing new laptops today

Thank you very much for the answer. When I rechecked the forum archives I found that you had indeed said before that the Intel Integrated chipset is not going to be supported. Well, bad luck for me. But it also means that if I cannot get rid of my macbook for a good price (and that is becoming more improbable with the new macbook anouncements), I will have to switch to another vjing application. As will maybe a lot of other people who use macbooks and want to vj.
What I am getting at is, that resolume already runs quite nicely on macbooks. It just occasionally crashes. So, the goal of making it run normally doesn`t seem so far away. Of course the integrated chipset solutions are quite low-performing. However they do comply with the OpenGL standard, even if some of the functionality is emulated.
I mean, going this little bit further (at least I think it is just a little bit), will bring more customers won`t it?

Sorry, I thought you said it did not work at all.
So far we have had mixed results with the MacBook, some say it does not work at all, others see a mashed up interface, and for you it's unstable.
We are now working on these bug fixes so it will run more stable on the next release.

Ah, cool, thanks. So as long as you guys are working on it I guess it is gonna be alright. Probably the amount of opengl being emulated / supported by the integrated chipset and its macos driver has improved over the different macbook versions. So as I have a fairly recent one, I just have crashed sometimes. Second monitor output works flawlessly by the way.
As I wrote in one of my notorious macbook posts before, I think the problem with the crashes is not very severe. Just some little memory leak somewhere leads to an illegal memory access at some relatively random point of time. I suspect that the leak is in one of your mixer plugins (and maybe another small one in the `effectless` alpha mixing engine). I would even think that the same problem exists on nvidia chipsets as well, but as the memory is not seperated from the system memory no crash. I have seen some heavy stuttering (only getting back to normal after removing all clips from the display channels) after some time on my friends macbook pro too, by the way. Maybe related to the same problem.. Have fun profiling

Sorry, I meant the opposite, as the memory is separated, no writes to system memory to cause crashes are possible..
