yes mapping the in and out points to midi is on our todo list.

can you tell me how I get into "random" mode? I can't seem to locate it anywhere.

the layout on my version has no R button.
I tried to upload a jpeg attachment to illustrate but am having problems uploading attachments.

sorry, just realised that the function isn't available when you have audio linked.
