Hi there, I was using a mini DV cam as webcam in resolume, but when battery was run out and other time I disconnected the cam from the PC then resolume got some strange, making strange things, I was forced to restart it! It's normal to happen this?
My machine specs:
Sony HC-40 cam
Athlon 2600+
1gb DDR
Asus A7N8X-X Motherboard
MSI Geforce FX 5700LE
Clean and dedicated HD with clean and dedicated Win XP with only the necessary to resolume run
Thanks

sorry, your post is not 100% clear.
do you mean that whilst using resolume you had a problem with the camera and to get it working again, you had to restart resolume? or do you mean that you had to restart windows?
its normal for resolume to need restarting to re-detect an item like a camera which is unplugged or drops out of resolume, but you wouldnt normaly have to reboot windows for it to be recognised again.

Hi again VJair
No, no... just needed to restart Resolume... if its normal to not work to a device that has been detected, maybe used... then disconnected... it ok... A bit sad but I think this is everything I need to know... Thanks.

the reason for this is the webcam has to be pluged in before resolume starts, once you are using it the computer assigns it an IRQ address (i believe) and when it is unplugged, the IRQ address is still in use, so when you plug it back in, it gives it a new IRQ address which resolume only scans at start up.
I guess there could be a button to refresh video devices, but this would probably interrupt playback.
