Hi there, I think my pc is a bit slow, or I want too much from it?
I'm taking some slow frame rates, I'm using just files coded with MJPEG at 18 and 640x480
Also process resolution as 640x480, the same for output
With resolume clear, no videos playing it says 60fps, loading one video it drops to 30 fps, loading the second to play simultaneosly it drops to 10~15 fps, this without any effect or 3º layer occupied, using the 3º drops below 7fps, with effect... well, horrible!!!

My machine is slow? I'm wanting too much from its?

My machine specs:
Athlon XP 2600+ (barton)
1gb DDR
250gb 7200rpm Samsung HD (videos are in most avaible outer area of HD, faster)
Asus A7N8X-X Motherboard
MSI Geforce FX 5700LE
Pixelview capture card
Clean and dedicated HD with clean and dedicated Win XP with only the necessary to resolume run

it looks like it should be fast enough ( i assume you are using resolume 2? )

are you using a Quicktime based MJPEG codec? if so, try using an AVI based codec instead and it may speed things up a little.

hmmm... im not sure then tbh, on my older machine ( 2.8 ghz celeron ) it never dropped anywhere near that low. i used pic video mjpeg @ 15 fps @ 640x480 )

resolume 2 performance is mostly based on processor and hard drive speed. is there any chance of you testing another hard drive in that machine? And dont forget, it is always beneficial to have your clips stored on a seperate drive to your operating system / virtual memory ect and preferably on a different IDE buss too.
