Really? :( - Why not fixing this issue?

On my notebook the preview monitor is very small compared to the output monitor because of my poor resolution max: 1280x800). The layer view takes the upper half of the screen (I cannot change that - unfortunately). And thus there is not enough space for output monitor AND preview monitor. --> preview monitor shrinks to the size of a clip icon in a layer! - that's why I want to disable the output monitor.

I think the preview is more important than the output, as I could monitor the output on an external screen, at the video mixer or maybe even by looking to the beamer.

Or just make it possible to switch output monitor and preview monitor.
