Flimmer

Hi,
I'm having a latency issue when i play clips containing only a fading color (Like a color beat / strobe), the artifact looks like slight flimmer, the kind of artifact you get if you play a badly supported videocodec or a uncompressed file on a slow system.
The file is about 2,5 MB, 25fps, Photo-JPG 85%, .mov. It plays perfectly in Quicktime Player, at first i thought it was an interpolation issue related to the bpm sync, but the same artifact ocure when I play it in "timeline" mode.
Its strange, cause the fps rates are around 45-60.
I'm using a brand new MacbookPro 17".
